A company and family story from
Börje Karlssons Förpacknings AB to
BK Pac – over 50 years of packaging expertise.
1974 Börje Karlssons Förpacknings AB was founded in the family home, with the office on the upper floor and storage in the basement and garage. The first customers were grocery stores and bakeries in Skåne, Blekinge and on the island of Öland. Börje’s values with a focus on customer service, commitment and development laid the foundation for the company, values that still guide our work today.
1976 Jan Karlsson and Ulf Karlsson joined the company as the second generation. The business expanded with additional rented warehouses around Kristianstad.
1982 marked a milestone in BK Pac’s history. An industrial building in Näsby, Kristianstad, was purchased and a new 300 m² warehouse was built. This location remained BK Pac’s base until the year 2000.
1990 a new 1,000 m² warehouse was inaugurated in Näsby, Kristianstad, and the product range was further developed.
2000 BK Pac moved into its current office and warehouse. That same year, the company was named Company of the Year in the municipality of Kristianstad.
2002 BK Pac took another major step by expanding operations into Denmark. This marked the beginning of a new era of growth and international presence. We now also have sales offices and external warehouses in Denmark.
2019 the third generation took over. Johan Karlsson continues to build on the strong values established by the family.
Throughout the years, our focus on customer service, commitment and development has remained the foundation of our business. From our roots in a garage to becoming an international player, BK Pac has always stayed true to its values and passion for packaging.
